The Principia, or First Principles of Natural Things

Descriptio:

In 1734, Swedenborg published a 3-volume work of philosophy, mathematics, and metallurgy, commonly called "Principia". An English translation of the title would be "First principles of natural things, or new attempts to explain philosophically the primordial world".

De hac translatione:

In 1734, Swedenborg published a large 3-volume work on the basic principles of nature and metallurgy, whose title, translated into English, is "Basic Principles of Nature or of New Attempts to Explain Philosophically the Phenomena of the Natural World". Volume 1 dealt with general principles, Volumes 2 and 3 extended these into metallurgy of iron, copper, and brass (one of Swedenborg's many areas of expertise).
