Experientia Spiritualis - Verbum Explicatum
Noten of voetnoten van de vertaler::
[NCBSP editor's notes]: When Swedenborg was in the process of finishing "Verbum Explicatum" (or in English, "The Word of the Old Testament Explained"), he began keeping a record of some of the spiritual experiences that he was having. It was the beginning of a spiritual diary of sorts. It was only discovered years after Swedenborg's death, and published posthumously, using the title "Experientiae Spiritualis", or "Spiritual Experiences".
The first portion of the diary was missing altogether from the manuscript, from the beginning to section 148:3. Those missing sections have been somewhat reconstructed/patched in to the main work, copying them from an extensive index to the diary that Swedenborg made later, as he prepared to write later theological works.
This current work, here called Experientiae Spirituales - Verbum Explicatum, is comprised of the extracted section of threshold materials from Verbum Explicatum that clearly belong to Spiritual Experiences.
