28 Even so, no devoted thing which a man sets aside for Yehowah from all that he has, whether man or animal or the field of his possession, shall be sold or redeemed; every devoted thing is most holy to Yehowah.

Verse 28. Moreover, no affection or power that a man devotes to the Lord, from that life which seems to be his own, or at his own disposal, whether it be internal, interior, or external, is to be alienated or applied to selfish and worldly purposes; it is to be fully ascribed to the Lord.
