12 And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another's, who will give you that which is your own?

Measuring and recording the harvest is shown in a wall painting in the Tomb of Menena, at Thebes (18th dynasty).

Following from the previous verse, the Lord here tells us that if we don’t seek to bring good things from the true ideas we get from others (being faithful in what is another man’s), the Lord will not be able to give us ideas and knowledge of our own.
