2 アハブはナボテに言った、「あなたのぶどう畑はわたしの家の近くにあるので、わたしに譲って青物畑にさせてください。その代り、わたしはそれよりも良いぶどう畑をあなたにあげましょう。もしお望みならば、その価を金でさしあげましょう」。

Verse 2. But the man of the Old Church, on this account, desires that the New Church may be considered as a part of his own, although an inferior part, regarding his own as of superior value for the salvation of souls, or at least, as equivalent to the New Church as to intellectual power and therefore as to spiritual truth.
