18 Or if he strikes a man with an implement of wood in his hand to make him die, and he does die, he is a murderer; the murderer must be put to death.

Verse 18. Or again, he who wilfully and forcibly does injury to another by persuading that good is meritorious, because selfish love desires reward, is guilty and brings upon himself vastation.
