2 Και ελαλησεν ο Αχααβ προς τον Ναβουθαι, λεγων, Δος μοι τον αμπελωνα σου, δια να εχω αυτον κηπον λαχανων, επειδη ειναι πλησιον του οικου μου· και θελω σοι δωσει αντ' αυτου αμπελωνα καλητερον παρ' αυτου· η, αν ηναι αρεστον εις σε, θελω σοι δωσει το αντιτιμον αυτου εις αργυριον.

Verse 2. But the man of the Old Church, on this account, desires that the New Church may be considered as a part of his own, although an inferior part, regarding his own as of superior value for the salvation of souls, or at least, as equivalent to the New Church as to intellectual power and therefore as to spiritual truth.
