542. It follows from the above, that they conspire by unanimous consent to the glory of their Lord and the love of the citizens in heaven and on earth, their joy being elevated according to the number of their companions; at the same time they are made glad by love of the inmost thing, that the kingdom of God is increased, this being the effect of the two loves. Moreover, from so many pure minds is made up the common animus of the society, just as is the case in our body; for our animus is made up of the minds of our intellectories. It is the same also with the common intellect. As to the influx which the common animus has into our souls-for the communication of that society with us is effected only through our souls-to describe this is no part of our present subject. Therefore, May Thy kingdom come and Thy will be done on earth as in the heavens!
