2 Kings 25:4

Étudier

4 then the city is broken up, and all the men of war [go] by night the way of the gate, between the two walls that [are] by the garden of the king, and the Chaldeans [are] against the city round about, and [the king] goeth the way of the plain.

L'explication

Par Henry MacLagan

Verse 4. And then the doctrine of the church is corrupted; and those who suffer infestations and temptations are in states of obscurity, between truth on the one hand and falsity on the other, derived from the perversion of the literal sense of the Word, and the denial of the Lord, through falsities from evil, and especially through falsities springing from the love of dominion, the essential truth being rejected to externals.
