8 Daarna in de vijfde maand, op de zevenden der maand (dit was het negentiende jaar van Nebukadnezar, den koning van Babel) kwam Nebuzaradan, de overste der trawanten, de knecht des konings van Babel, te Jeruzalem.

Verse 8. And when there are no longer any remains of faith, because the good of faith is profaned, even when the love of dominion rejects all conjunction with the Lord by remains, then the natural man, being in the process of judgment, entirely vastated and made subordinate to the love of dominion, invades and dominates the corrupted church.
