43 Και περιεπατησεν εις πασας τας οδους Ασα του πατρος αυτου· δεν εξεκλινεν απ' αυτων, πραττων το ευθες ενωπιον του Κυριου. Οι υψηλοι ομως τοποι δεν αφηρεθησαν· ο λαος εθυσιαζεν ετι και εθυμιαζεν εν τοις υψηλοις τοποις.

Verse 43. Yet still it is a state of obedience to truths from good in externals, and of truth from good in internals, although the affections of self-love have some power both in the will and understanding, so that worship in that state is defective as to affection and as to intelligence.
