14 ויאמר אלישע חי יהוה צבאות אשר עמדתי לפניו כי לולי פני יהושפט מלך יהודה אני נשא אם אביט אליך ואם אראך׃

Verse 14. And the reason why he receives such help is, because he is outwardly in association with those in faith from charity; although, since Divine Truth is from Divine Good, in which alone is Divine Life, and also since Divine Truth is the expression of Divine Good, it is impossible that it can be in sympathy with and enlighten the corrupted man.
