17 And the king of Babylon causeth Mattaniah his father's brother to reign in his stead, and turneth his name to Zedekiah.

Verse 17. And now therefore under the influence of this love, the church, which should be governed by charity, which is the gift of the Lord, is dominated by falsity from evil assuming the quality of truth from good in externals.
