Verse 20. But those who are in the literal sense of the Word only, according to its appearances, and thus in the low perception and delights of the merely natural man, cannot understand the motives and principles of the spiritual, and are persuaded that it is in harmony with the Divine Life, by means of truths, to seek selfish reward.
