Verse 26. But Divine Truth from Divine Good, or the Lord as the Divine Word, is omniscient, and discerns and distinguishes between the hypocrite, and him who is in charity, although it be without the discrimination of true doctrine. For genuine charity does not desire to receive either interior or exterior truths from self-love; nor can it, in this way, receive either inmost good and truth; or spiritual or natural affections, or even ministering knowledges and their delights.
