19 And all the houses also of the high places that were in the cities of Samaria, which the kings of Israel had made to provoke [Jehovah] to anger, Josiah removed, and did to them according to all the acts that he had done in Bethel.

Verse 19. And the man of the New Church rejects also all impure natural affections appertaining to the external of the corrupted spiritual church, which have been perverted by falsities so as to cause aversion from the Lord, just as he rejects its internal evils and falsities.
