18 וישבו אליו והוא ישב ביריחו ויאמר אלהם הלוא אמרתי אליכם אל תלכו׃

Commentarius in hunc versum

Verse 18. Wherefore, the temptation being past, they again have recourse to the Word from a genuine love of knowledge, and are confirmed in the truth that the spiritual sense of the Word cannot be known from natural affection and natural intelligence only.
