16 These were the ones summoned from the congregation, princes of the tribes of their fathers; they were the heads of the thousands of Israel.

Verse 16. These are the general truths of the church, and their order with man during a state of instruction, having relation respectively to the celestial, spiritual and natural degrees of his mind.
