17 അപ്പോള്‍ അവന്‍ ശൂനേംകാരത്തിയായ അബീശഗിനെ എനിക്കു ഭാര്യയായിട്ടു തരുവാന്‍ ശലോമോന്‍ രാജാവിനോടു പറയേണമേ; അവന്‍ നിന്റെ അപേക്ഷ തള്ളുകയില്ലല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
