16 ויאמר חי יהוה אשר עמדתי לפניו אם אקח ויפצר בו לקחת וימאן׃

Verse 16. But now he realizes, that, since all life is from the Lord, in whose eternal presence is the regenerated internal, therefore good is freely given, nor is reward thought of. The external life of the regenerated man, however, is relatively imperfect, as compared with Divine Love.
