8 But if the one who vows is poorer than your valuation, he shall bring the person before the priest, and the priest shall value him; the priest shall value him according to the ability of the one who vows.

Verse 8. But those who have no quality derived from truth are to be considered from their state of good, for good produces truths which express its quality; and according to truth from good with him who devotes himself to the Lord, is such a person to be estimated.
