19 And ye shall smite every fortified city, and every choice city, and shall fell every good tree, and stop all wells of water, and mar every good piece of land with stones.

Verse 19. And thus, ostensibly, to destroy all false doctrines as to intellectual and as to moral things, and all interior evils and falsities; and by the power of truth to render quiescent every evil affection.
