42 Et mittens vocavit eum, dixitque illi : Nonne testificatus sum tibi per Dominum, et prædixi tibi : Quacumque die egressus, ieris huc et illuc, scito te esse moriturum : et respondisti mihi : Bonus sermo, quem audivi ?

Verse 42. Wherefore there is again an influx of Divine Good and Truth into the man of the church, giving perception, that it is confirmed by Divine Truth, and made clear to the understanding, that (the) natural love (of approbation) ought not to be separated from the church, or conjoined with self-love, since, in that case, spiritual death will follow; and further that the natural understanding acknowledges this truth.
