11 And the king of Israel answered and said, Tell [him], Let not him that girdeth on boast himself as he that putteth off!

Verse 11. Nevertheless also the powers of the spiritual man from self-love are confident, perceiving that, although evil and falsity or the will and the understanding in the natural man, may be prepared for conflict, yet it is not sure of victory, as if it were already gained.
