1 І сталося, коли Господь мав узяти Іллю в вихрі на небо, то йшов Ілля та Єлисей із Ґілґалу.

Verse 1. It is according to Divine Order that when the spiritual church is desolated by the increase of evil and falsity, the Word, or the Divine Truth thereof, disappears from among men, and is preserved in heaven; and this begins to take place when men depart as to internals and also as to externals from a state of charity.
