15 And every soul that eateth of a dead carcase, or of that which was torn, be it one home-born, or a stranger, he shall wash his clothes, and bathe in water, and be unclean until the even: then he shall be clean.

Verse 15. And every man of the Spiritual Church who appropriates to himself that which is merely natural and void of spiritual life; or that which has been injured by evil inadvertently, and who yet is essentially, in good, whether he be of the internal church or of the external, shall be purified, externally and internally, by means of the Word; and shall remain impure until a change of state is brought about by such purification.
