17 And she said to him, My lord, you took an oath by the Lord your God and gave your word to your servant, saying, Truly, Solomon your son will be king after me, seated on the seat of my kingdom.

Verse 17. In which it is perceived, that it had been confirmed by Divine Good and Divine Truth, in the church where truth was subservient, that a state of good should succeed to a state of truth, and should govern the whole mind;
