1 ויהורם בן אחאב מלך על ישראל בשמרון בשנת שמנה עשרה ליהושפט מלך יהודה וימלך שתים עשרה שנה׃

Verse 1. But a less extreme form of evil from self-love begins to rule in the corrupted church, or in the soul of the individual of that church, although it is rejected; faith from charity to which it is totally and continually opposed, is no longer acknowledged; and genuine truths are also completely rejected.
