6 And we utterly destroyed them, as we had done to Sihon the king of Heshbon, utterly destroying every city, men, women and little ones.

Verse 6. All these are to be utterly destroyed as far as they oppose the regenerate life, as was done to the false principles arising from the love of self in the natural mind. The absolute fallacy of such arguments and opinions is made manifest, and all affection for them and ideas derived
