5 Toen traden de zonen der profeten, die te Jericho waren, naar Elisa toe, en zeiden tot hem: Weet gij, dat de HEERE heden uw heer van uw hoofd wegnemen zal? En hij zeide: Ik Weet het ook wel, zwijgt gij stil.

Verse 5. And when this descent has taken place, there is perception from the state of man as to knowledges, that the Word will cease to be understood in its genuine "meaning, in a greater degree; but those who are in the love of obedience, knowing this, are astonished and grieved.
