12 Ο δε Ελισσαιε εβλεπε και εβοα, Πατερ μου, πατερ μου, αμαξα του Ισραηλ και ιππικον αυτου. Και δεν ειδεν αυτον πλεον· και επιασε τα ιματια αυτου και διεσχισεν αυτα εις δυο τμηματα.

Verse 12. But those who have conscience, in the corrupted state of the church, perceive the true quality of the Word from the love of good, and the love of truth, which involve the doctrine of the true spiritual church, and form its intellectual principle; but in the state of desolation, Divine Truth disappears; wherefore there is mourning on account of lost truth, and, so far, disjunction of interior truths from those which are exterior.
