12 เอลีชาก็เห็น และท่านได้ร้องว่า "คุณพ่อของข้าพเจ้า คุณพ่อของข้าพเจ้า รถรบของอิสราเอลและพลม้าประจำ" และท่านก็ไม่ได้เห็นเอลียาห์อีกเลย แล้วท่านก็จับเสื้อของตนฉีกออกเป็นสองท่อน

Verse 12. But those who have conscience, in the corrupted state of the church, perceive the true quality of the Word from the love of good, and the love of truth, which involve the doctrine of the true spiritual church, and form its intellectual principle; but in the state of desolation, Divine Truth disappears; wherefore there is mourning on account of lost truth, and, so far, disjunction of interior truths from those which are exterior.
