36 Nevertheless a spring or a cistern in which water is a gathered shall be clean: but that which touches their carcass shall be unclean.

Verse 36. Nevertheless, a general receptacle of good or truth, as, for example, the interior or exterior memory, or the Word in its literal sense, is pure from such contamination; however, every truth having the slightest contact with what is void of spiritual life, is impure.
