12 See how I have taken the Levites from among the sons of Israel, instead of every firstborn who opens the womb among the sons of Israel; so the Levites shall be mine.

Verse 12. That the Lord alone is the origin of charity with the man of the church, and that this charity is primary with him in reality, although faith appears to be so in the order of regeneration.
